Wind Energy - the largest resource in the British Isles is offshore

Today's offshore turbines draw on over 20 years experience gained with onshore wind farms and are now highly developed.

However, costs of installing, maintaining and replacing offshore units remains substantially higher than onshore due to the need for specialised equipment and the wait for suitable weather conditions.

The TidalStream Partnership (TSP) have developed a radical concept that challenges this situation. The concept potentially enables a step change reduction in installed cost, greater availability and significantly simpler maintenance.
